About This Site

My grandfather, Royal Freeman Munger, died 15 years before I was born. My father, not a talkative man in general, rarely discussed his father at length with his children, until near the end of his life. This was in large part due to the lifelong pain he harbored at losing his Dad when he was 18 and partly due to the pain associated with all the deaths that occurred in the Munger family during the 40s. Just as my father re-discovered his father late in life due to the wonderful resources made available by the Internet, I too hope to re-discover my grandfather, and put a stake in the virtual ground of the Internet honoring the life of Royal Freeman Munger.
