Opportunity comes to most people sooner than they are ready to take advantage of it. If there was a chance to buy the business, that would do you no good unless you had accounting, salesmanship, and first-hand knowledge of every department of the plant. Most promotions have to pass over somebody who would get the job if more experienced or better qualified.
